New Book Chapter Published

My long time collaborator, Kate Sicchio from VCUarts, and I have a book chapter in Routledge’s Robot Theaters: Collisions in Performance and Social Robotics. Our chapter, Together//Apart: Explorations in Choreorobotic Performance Ontologies, reflects on our practice-as-research approach to developing new human-robot interaction technologies. We present a choreorobotic ontology that captures movement and space through live coded interactions from a choreographer that shape emergent behaviors among humans and robots. Our future work will build upon these dance and technology concepts to shape new live performances.
